佛光大学佛教学系配合宜兰佛光山兰阳别院于农历12月初8佛诞日在宜兰最新最大规模购物中心~新月广场分发腊八粥时准备了近一小时的表演项目娱乐大家:

<蘭陽別院為紀念佛陀成道日，1月3日特於今年才開幕的蘭城新月廣場舉辦臘八傳溫情活動，共準備3千份臘八粥供眾。蒞臨貴賓有縣長伉儷及市長伉儷、縣議員江聰淵伉儷等，民眾們感受到佛光山熱騰騰的溫情。住持永光法師表示，今年除了致贈臘八粥外，還有星雲大師的墨寶「生耕致富」祝福各位除了吃平安粥也能更富有智慧。在廣場上有蘭陽仁愛之家「千歲打擊樂團」，參加成員全部加起來超過一千歲的長者表演動感的打擊樂，還有佛光大學佛學院的學生，舞動活潑有力的熱舞，在寒冷的嚴冬增添無限的熱力與能量。人間社報導>
